Methodology
Every figure on this page is read from Macfax's append-only daily market snapshot of Jul 10, 2026 (methodology v1). Snapshot rows are never updated or deleted, so a published brief never drifts. The snapshot series began Jul 10, 2026; flow statistics (new/sold/delisted, days on market) gain depth as the series ages.
The population is the Macfax catalog's live set: listings aggregated from eBay, Craigslist, OfferUp, Swappa, Facebook and Reddit that pass every quality gate (scam-cluster, junk-title, classified-ad, auction, price-floor and staleness filters). Prices are asking prices of live listings; sold counts come from direct verification of individual listings, and where a resolution timestamp is missing the row is not counted. Dollars per GB RAM is the median of asking price divided by installed unified memory across live listings with known RAM.
